I have joined the league of Bloggers. I'm not sure if this is a good thing but maybe it will help me organize all my thoughts. I have never really been a writer although I have always tried. I can't even begin to tell you how many times I have started a diary, a journal or even more ambitious, an actual novel. I look back and see many unfilled pages. But maybe this will be different. For one, I might as well do something on the computer other than play Farmville or stalk people on Facebook. And for another, I actually have something pretty interesting to write about: My boys.
I am a working mother of two gorgeous boys. Logan, who is 2 and a half, and Aiden, who is 6 months. They are the most amazing things in my life and the one thing I have ever done right. Their father, Chris, and I have been together for over 4 years.
Logan is the most precocious child I have ever met. Maybe I'm a little biased as he is my child but seriously, he is so incredibly smart! He makes us laugh every single day with what he says and how silly he can be. He can count to 15, knows all the words to songs like "Dynamite", can name just about every type of animal and can use my iPhone better than most adults. And yet he enjoys his diaper. Haha Yes thats right, my son can play "Angry Birds" on my phone and BEAT it but won't go poopy in the potty! He is a fascinating creature. He is obsessed with Werewolves, Vampires and killing bugs... and yet is afraid of a tiny robot spider toy and monsters in the closet. He can watch any scary movie without flinching and then cries when he sees an ASPCA commercial for the "sad doggies". His heart just amazes me. He shares everything like a champ without even being told. And his strength is scary lol. He kicks soccer balls further than the big kids at the park, can hit a ball thrown to him with precision, can dribble a basketball and can throw a ball right into your waiting hands. I don't know about you but I don't know many 2 year olds who can do all that. My only worry for him is how hard his decision on which sport to play will be lol. And he LOVES to dance and sing. He sings all day long in the car and has better rhythm than many adults I know. Right now, he is into WWE wrestling. He has 17 action figures and can name every single one and do their special moves lol. Watching him do body slams "off the top ropes" (our couch arms) is just downright hysterical. Unless you are the one he is body slamming haha. Like I said at the beginning, he is one of the most precocious child I know.
So he gets his good looks from mommy, his athleticism from daddy, and his brains from both.
Aiden is one of the sweetest babies I have ever been around. He is content just sitting on Mommy's lap watching TV. He is also one of the biggest babies I have ever been around lol. At only 6 months old, he has already surpassed all of his big brothers weight measurements for the same age. He was an average baby when he was born at only 7lb, 15oz and that was the last time he was considered average. Just one month later he was already almost 13 pounds. He now weighs in at 21lb, 4 oz which is OFF the percentile charts. And he is tall too. He is only 7 inches shorter than his big brother at 29in. The child is already in 12 month clothing!! Here we are thinking that since Logan and Aiden are only 9 days apart in birthdays, we would be able to reuse all of Logan's old clothes (because as a pack rat, I have every single baby item neatly packed away). Yea, not so much. I personally think Aiden just wanted his own wardrobe lol. At this same age, Logan was only in 6 months. He wasn't in 12 months until Springtime, making all his 12 month clothes short sleeved. Doesn't exactly translate to a deep winter wardrobe. Pretty much thinking that short sleeves are a bad idea when its 20 degrees and snowing outside lol. Such a shame too because I had soo many cute clothes that I waas super excited to reuse. Oh well, I guess that just means I get to go shopping (a fact that Chris is not exactly thrilled about lol). Enough about Aiden's weight though. Let's talk personality. This is just starting to come through in spades. What we know so far: He ADORES his big brother and cracks up every time Logan does something silly (which is often); He prefers to be in Mommy's arms (another fact that Chris is not thrilled with); He LOVES to eat, which is explanation enough for his crazy size; And he is an extremely light sleeper (a fact that MOMMY is not thrilled with). He is a great baby and we got really lucky having two amazing children.
Well all in all, This isn't bad for my first blog posts. Maybe this will get easier, maybe this will get harder. Time will only tell lol. Here is parting snapshots of my crazy children :)
My 2 great-nephews are the cutest boys EVER!!!
